black & navy

Shout out to my amazing roommate Ali for encouraging my shopping addiction and talking me into buying this sweater. I am really lacking navy in my wardrobe for some reason, but I absolutely love the classic color. I especially love navy and black paired together (again, shout out to Ali for reminding me - she is the best).  I know some people say that black and navy don't go together, but I could not disagree more. Black and navy were made for each other.
I'm wearing my absolute favorite lipstick (as seen here) that seems to go with every outfit I put together these days. I never used to be that big into lipstick, but recently I just can't buy enough.

What are your favorite fall color combinations?

I love awards shows because I can't get enough of the dresses on the red carpet. Carrie Underwood stunned in about 50 outfit changes last night (exaggeration), but she was by far the best dressed in that gorgeous, beaded dress. Connie Britton looked incredible as well but I could not find a good enough picture to put up on here.

Who was your best dressed last night??

revlon: black cherry

Lipstick: Revlon, "Black Cherry"

So I got this new lipstick and couldn't wait to do an outfit post with it, so I am doing a post dedicated to this lipstick. It's such a great, dark shade for the colder months and I've been looking for a shade like this for a while now that would match with my skin tone. I'm soo happy I found this color!

What are your favorite lipstick colors? Name them!

going blonde

So, I have decided I want to go blonde over Thanksgiving. I always wanted to try out the hair color, but I always thought that with my skin tone, it would look horrible. But when Kim Kardashian recently went blonde, I started seriously thinking about just going for it. I feel like women with darker skin tones, like myself, often cannot pull off blonde, but the pictures in this post prove otherwise, don't you think? Obviously Beyonce can pull anything off, but...why not give it a try?

What do you guys think?
